About application of protective measure

Based on the Law on anti-dumping, countervailing and protective measures N 820-XIV of February 17, 2000 and the Law on customs tariff N 1380-XIII of November 20, 1997 the Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. 1. - The special special customs duty for goods of goods items "1701 Sugar reed or beet and chemically net sucrose, in firm condition", "1702 90 790 - other", "1702 90 990 - other" and "2106 90 590 - other", classified according to the Commodity nomenclature of the Republic of Moldova approved by the Order of the Government N 54 of January 26, 2004 in the following sizes is established for the four-year period:

- 39 percent, but at least 115 euros for ton - from February 16 to December 31, 2008;

- 38 percent, but at least 110 euros for ton - from January 1 to December 31, 2009;

- 37 percent, but at least 105 euros for ton - from January 1 to December 31, 2010;

- 36 percent, but at least 100 euros for ton - from January 1, 2011 to February 15, 2012, except for goods item 1701, concerning which the specified protective measure are established till July 31, 2011.

Art. 2. - The duty established in Article 1, is applied in addition to the operating customs duty irrespective of the country of goods' origin, calculated and levied on the basis of customs value according to the current legislation and joins in rateable value of goods.

Art. 3. - This law becomes effective since February 16, 2008.
