1. The ministry of Ukraine concerning emergency situations and for protection the population from effects of the Chernobyl catastrophic crash (Ministry of Emergency Situations) is the central executive body which activities go and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is principal organ in system of the central executive bodies concerning ensuring realization of state policy in the field of civil protection, providing management of activities of single state system of civil protection of the population and the territories (further - single system of civil protection), the treatment of radioactive waste, mitigations of consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophic crash, rescue case, technogenic and fire safety, creation and functioning of system of insurance fund of documentation, prevention of injury rate of non-productive nature, and also hydrometeorological activities.
