being guided by the Charter of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of June 7, 2002, the Shanghai convention on fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism of June 15, 2001,

aiming to combine efforts on ensuring effective reaction of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (further - SCO) on the situations threatening the world, safety and stability on space of SCO including by mutually agreed actions of the Defense Ministries,

wishing to stage for this purpose joint military exercises (daleeucheniye), to determine legal and organizational basis of their preparation and carrying out,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The concepts used in this agreement mean the following:

"participants of doctrines" - the faces included in structure of governing body of doctrines, staff of military and other forming of the Parties which are taking part in doctrines;

"governing body of doctrines" - the temporary governing body created by the Parties for preparation and conducting exercises;

"military forming" - the military units and divisions, governing bodies of armed forces of the Parties which are taking part in doctrines;

"other forming" - the divisions of public authorities of the Parties which are not entering into structure of their armed forces, taking part in doctrines or rendering assistance in their carrying out;

"staff of military and other forming" - the military personnel and civil personnel who are part of military and other forming, and also the faces sent to them;
