aiming to promote development of bilateral humanitarian, cultural, scientific and technical and information ties in the spirit of the Contract on bases of the interstate relations, friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 30, 1992, Agreements on cooperation in the field of culture, science and technology, education, health care, information, sport and tourism of March 19, 1993 and other bilateral documents,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties establish the Russian center of science and culture in Tashkent and the Information cultural and educational center of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Moscow which are referred to as further with the Centers.

The parties can on the basis of the mutual arrangement open branches of the Centers in other cities of both states.

Activities of the Centers and their branches are based on the basis of the universally recognized norms of international law, provisions of this agreement and taking into account the legislation of the state of stay.
