About enforcement of the Labor code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. Enact the Labor code of the Republic of Armenia (further - the Code) in six months from the moment of its official publication.

Article 2. The employment relationships which arose before introduction of the Code in action proceed and Code provisions are applied to them.

Article 3. Within one year from the date of introduction of the Code in action reduction in compliance with the Code of the laws and other legal acts containing regulations of labor right is necessary.

Before reduction in compliance with the Code of the laws and other legal acts containing regulations of labor right they are applied so far as do not contradict the Code.

Other regulatory legal acts accepted before introduction of the Code in action, departmental acts and acts of local government bodies, regulated which the relations according to the Code shall be governed only by the law are effective before enforcement of the relevant laws.

Article 4. Employers shall sign in the procedure established by the law employment contracts with the workers who entered employment relationships without employment contract within one year from the date of introduction of the Code in action.

Article 5. Employers shall provide fulfillment of requirements of part of 1 Article 208, of Articles 243, of 245, 249-255 Codes within three years from the date of introduction of the Code in action.

Article 6. Provisions of the Code extend to employment disputes in those cases if the employment dispute arose after introduction of the Code in action.
