This Law regulates traffic in weapons and ammunition in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Weapon in this Law is understood as the devices and objects which are structurally intended for defeat of live or other purpose and also the main parts of weapon determining its functional purpose.

Gas weapon is the weapon intended for temporary defeat of the live purpose by use of the tear or irritating substances allowed for use by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Ammunition - the arms objects intended for defeat of the purpose, accomplishment of the tasks promoting its defeat and the charges or their combination containing explosive, throwing, pyrotechnic, vyshibny. To ammunition cartridges also belong to fire and gas weapon.
