About procedure for creation of customs control zones along customs border

In pursuance of Article 362 of the Customs code of the Russian Federation the Government of the Russian Federation decides:

1. Establish the following procedure for creation in the Russian Federation of customs control zones along customs border:

a) customs control zones are created along customs border irrespective of coincidence or its discrepancy with the line of frontier of the Russian Federation;

b) The State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation determines sites of customs border along which it is necessary to create customs control zones, and makes the decision on creation of such zones. The decision on creation of customs control zones is drawn up by the regulatory legal act of the State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation approved with Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation in the territory of which the specified zones are created;

c) on the onshore section of customs area of the Russian Federation the customs control zone can be created within strip of the area up to 30 kilometers wide from the line of customs border in depth of the territory of the Russian Federation;

d) the customs control zone along customs border of the special economic zones operating in the territory of the Russian Federation is created along both sides of the onshore section of the customs border which is not matching with frontier of the Russian Federation;

e) on river and lake sites the customs control zone can be created within the Russian part of waters of the boundary rivers, lakes and other reservoirs, and also strip of the area up to 15 kilometers wide from the coastline in depth of the territory of the Russian Federation;
