Article 1. Exempt from further serving sentence of convicts to imprisonment:
a) 55 years are more senior than women;
b) 60 years are more senior than men.
Article 2. Operation of article 1 of this Law does not extend to convicts:
a) the committed crimes provided by Articles 71, 71-1, 73, parts 2, of 3, 4 Articles 85, Articles 88-1, 94, of 95, part 2 Articles 101, parts 2, of 3, 4 Articles 108, Articles 145, of 146, of 147, 191-2, 208, parts 2 and 3 of Article 215, Articles 235, 236 Criminal codes of the Kyrgyz Republic, acting till January 1, 1998;
b) being malicious violators of the mode of serving sentence.
Article 3. Reduce the unexpired term of punishment to persons which are not falling under operation of article 1 of this Law:
a) the convict to imprisonment for the term of not over 10 years - on half:
b) the convict to imprisonment for the term of over 10 years - on one third.
Article 4. The persons condemned by courts of the Kyrgyz Republic and courts of the CIS countries and serving sentence in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic fall under operation of this Law.
Article 5. Operation of this Law does not extend to persons to whom punishment in the form of capital punishment is replaced with imprisonment according to the procedure of the act of pardon, or recognized as especially dangerous recidivists.
Article 6. Persons falling under operation of article 1 of this Law are exempted from additional measures of punishment, except for confiscations of property.
Article 7. To persons concerning whom along with punishment for the committed crimes measures of forced treatment for alcoholism are appointed of drug addiction or venereal diseases, the act of amnesty regarding release is applied upon termination of full course of treatment.
Article 8. Execution of this Law is assigned to the bodies knowing execution of punishments.
