About the announcement of 2008 for Year of literature and reading in the Commonwealth of Independent States

For the purpose of accomplishment of the Plan of the main actions for implementation of the Concept of further development of the Commonwealth of Independent States approved by the Decision of Council of heads of states of the CIS of October 5, 2007, the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States solved:

1. Considering importance of further development of national literature and cooperation in the field of book publishing, book-exchange and mutual transfer in the CIS, to support the offer of the Republic of Tajikistan on the announcement of 2008 by Year of literature and reading in the Commonwealth of Independent States and to approve the draft decision of Council of heads of states of the CIS for the matter it (is applied).

2. Ask Council of heads of states of the CIS to consider the introduced draft of the Decision of Council of heads of states of the CIS according to the procedure, stipulated in Item 5 rules of 17 Rules of procedure of Council of heads of states, Council of Heads of Government, Council of Foreign Ministers and Economic council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

It is made in the city of Ashgabat on November 22, 2007 in one authentic copy in Russian. The authentic copy is stored in Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States which will send to each state which signed this Decision, its verified copy.
