1. This Technical regulation "Requirements to Safety of Drinking Water for the Population" (further - the Technical regulation) establishes requirements to safety of the drinking water intended for the population including for use in processes of conversion of food staples and production of foodstuff for the purpose of ensuring protection of life and health of the population.
2. This Technical regulation does not extend to drinking waters, requirements to which are provided by the Technical regulation "Requirements to Safety of the Drinking Water Which Is Packed Up in Reservoir".
3. The risks connected with microbiological and chemical pollution of drinking water shall be based on the technique allowing to estimate risk degree and to provide reliable and comparable results.
