About introduction of visa regime with the State Parties of the CIS

For the purpose of creation of unified legal and organizational bases of entry into Turkmenistan and departure out of limits of its territory and ensuring in this regard accurate interaction of the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan I decide:

1. Introduce since June 9, 1999 visa regime with the State Parties of the CIS.

2. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan:

provide international legal registration of visa regime with the State Parties of the CIS on the basis of bilateral agreements and agreements, exchange of diplomatic notes;

solve with the relevant ministries and departments questions of visa providing in the relation:

a) the citizens who drove to Turkmenistan or left its territories till June 9, 1999;

b) the citizens who are driving to Turkmenistan or leaving its territories after June 9, 1999 and having the travel or traveling documents acquired or received till June 9, 1999.

3. To the State Border Service of Turkmenistan:

provide observance by citizens of the State Parties of the CIS of procedure for crossing of Frontier of Turkmenistan according to the international standards and the legislation of Turkmenistan;

together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, Committee of homeland security of Turkmenistan and the State customs of Turkmenistan to ensure smooth operation of Items of the international message, Items of the simplified omission, and also strengthening of sites of Frontier of Turkmenistan with the adjacent State Parties of the CIS out of Items of the international message.
