About excises on alcoholic products
For the purpose of stimulation of domestic producers in growth in volumes of production of wine and vodka products I decide:
1. Establish since August 1, 1999 tiered rates of excises on the alcoholic beverages made in Turkmenistan (except beer) depending on content of alcohol in them:
(as a percentage to wholesale selling price)
to 20 percent - 15;
from 20 on 30 percent - 30;
from 31 on 40 percent - 40;
it is higher than 40 percent - 55.
2. Oblige producers of alcoholic beverages to fulfill in Turkmenistan obligations on excises by transfer of real money in the Government budget of Turkmenistan.
3. Recognize invalid the list of excise goods and rate of excises (the appendix N 1 to the resolution of the President of Turkmenistan of February 17, 1998 N 3598 "About excises") regarding the alcoholic beverages made in Turkmenistan (except beer).
