This Law determines the legal basis of the organization and implementation of protection of plants in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Protection of plants is implementation of complex of scientifically based measures for the purpose of protection of plants and their fruits against wreckers, diseases and weeds.
Protection of plants is provided:
* implementation of system of actions for protection of the plants directed to prevention of mass reproduction and distribution of wreckers, diseases of plants and weeds, to non-admission of yield losses, receipt of environmentally friendly products of crop production, to environmental protection, health of the population, useful fauna and flora from adverse effect of pesticides, by accomplishment of target state programs according to quarantine and liquidation of other especially dangerous harmful objects;
* forming of single state policy of the Azerbaijan Republic on providing the organization of training of specialists and scientific research in the field of protection of plants, production control and use of remedies of plants;
* compliance with law about protection of plants by state bodies, municipalities and public organizations, companies, organizations, organizations, peasant farms and other business entities, irrespective of pattern of ownership and subordination, the citizens using the earth and also officials.
The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on protection of plants consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts adopted according to this Law.
