About currency control and currency exchange control
This Law determines the principles of implementation of currency transactions in the Republic of Tajikistan, powers and functions of state bodies in currency control and currency exchange control, the rights and obligations of legal entities and physical persons concerning ownership, use and the order of currency values, the directions of currency exchange control and responsibility for violation of the foreign exchange legislation.
The concepts used in this Law mean the following:
1. "Currency of the Republic of Tajikistan"
a) the currency which is in circulation in the form of bank notes (banknotes) of National Bank Tajikistan and coins;
b) means in somoni on accounts and in deposits in banks and other non-bank financial organizations in the Republic of Tajikistan and beyond its limits

3. "Foreign currency":
