I. General provisions

1. This Instruction determines single rules by transactions with the state treasurer bills of exchange (further in the text - treasurer bills of exchange) and conducting calculations for them in banks of the Republic of Tajikistan.

2. In this Instruction the following terms are used:

"investment transactions" - transactions on purchase and sale of treasurer bills of exchange by banks on its own behalf, at own expense and on own initiative;

"broker transactions" - transactions on purchase and sale of treasurer bills of exchange by banks on its own behalf, but for customer account and on their initiative;

"financial accounting" is reflection of transactions of banks with treasurer bills of exchange according to balance sheet accounts;

"dealer" - the commercial banks and other credit institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan which are carrying out broker transactions;

"the broker agreement" - the agreement signed by dealers with investors on carrying out broker transactions with treasurer bills of exchange or other types of securities;

"investor" - legal entity or physical person, not being the dealer, acquiring or selling treasurer bills of exchange through the broker based on the signed broker agreement.
