1. These rules of turnover of genetically modified objects are developed according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 21, 2007 "About safety of food products" and determine procedure for turnover of genetically modified objects in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - Rules).
2. In these rules turnover of genetically modified objects are understood as processes (stages) of realization (sale or delivery), including import (import) of genetically modified objects, also related processes of packing, packaging, marking, storage and transportation.
3. Turnover of genetically modified objects is allowed only after evidence-based confirmation of their safety which is performed according to the procedure, established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and carrying out their state registration.
4. In case of turnover of genetically modified objects (further GMO) the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of safety of foodstuff and the Ecological code of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be observed.
5. Import (import) and realization in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan are permited GMO only after their state registration, except as specified import (import) of the samples necessary for carrying out registration testing.
