The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

being guided by aspiration to further strengthening and development of friendship between two states,

for the purpose of strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of natural and technogenic nature on the basis of respect, sovereignty, equality and mutual advantage agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties according to the national legal system and within competence will cooperate in the following directions:

1. Exchange of information, periodicals, methodical, scientific and technical literature, results of research works, video and photographic materials.

2. Planning, development and carrying out joint working meetings, seminars, conferences, training courses, trainings, doctrines, research projects, sporting and other events.

3. The organization of training of specialists in educational institutions of the Parties, exchange of trainees, teachers, scientists, specialists and other representatives.

4. Development of cooperation in spheres youth, voluntary, sports and other social movements which activities are connected with competence of the Parties.

5. Development of suggestions for improvement of the legislation on the questions which are within the competence of the Parties.

6. Preparation and realization of joint projects of technical, social and humanitarian cooperation.

7. Rendering in need of mutual aid or the joint help to the third countries with mitigation of consequences of emergency situations of natural and technogenic nature.

8. Cooperation in the field of overcoming effects of catastrophic crash on the Chernobyl NPP.

9. Implementation of other activities entering competence of the Parties.
