About hunting and maintaining hunting economy

This Law governs the relations in the field of hunting and maintaining hunting economy and is directed to protection and rational use of fauna of Turkmenistan carried to subjects to hunting.

Section I. General provisions

Article 1. Legislation of Turkmenistan on hunting and maintaining hunting economy

The legislation of Turkmenistan on hunting and maintaining hunting economy consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation of Turkmenistan.

If international treaties of Turkmenistan establish other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation Turkmenistan about hunting and maintaining hunting economy then are applied regulations of international treaties.

Article 2. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:

the state hunting fund (hunting animals) - fauna objects (animals, birds, water vertebrate animals) carried to subjects to hunting according to the procedure, established by the legislation of Turkmenistan;

hunting tools - hunting fire and cold weapon, other means permitted in accordance with the established procedure by means of which production of wild animals is performed;

hunting products - the hunting animals got in the course of hunting, and also the meat received from them, skins, horns, hoofs, internals and other parts of body;

okhotopolzovatel - the legal entity and physical person which acquired right to use hunting animals in the hunting grounds assigned to it;

the hunter - the citizen of Turkmenistan, the citizen of foreign state or the stateless person which is granted the right to hunting according to the procedure, established by the legislation of Turkmenistan;
