About protection of atmospheric air
This Law governs the relations in the field of protection of atmospheric air for the purpose of ensuring its purity and rational use, prevention and decrease in harmful chemical, physical, biological and other effects on the atmosphere, and also strengthening of legality in protection of atmospheric air.
The legislation of Turkmenistan on protection of atmospheric air consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts of Turkmenistan.
If international treaties of Turkmenistan establish other rules than containing in this Law, then regulations of international treaties are applied.
The main activities of the state in the field of protection of atmospheric air are:
prevention, decrease and the termination of influence of harmful chemical, biological, radiative, physical and other effects, and also greenhouse gases on atmospheric air:
rational use of atmospheric air for production needs and implementation of actions for recovery of its natural structure;
inadmissibility of pollution of soils, waters and other natural objects when implementing actions for protection of atmospheric air:
scientific reasons for combination of airsecurity, economic and social interests of society;
providing priority of protection of atmospheric air before economic interests;
complex environmental impact assessment of harmful emissions in the atmosphere and consumption of atmospheric air by business entities;
