About prohibition of production, transportation, acquisition, realization and export of especially valuable and endemic species of fish living in Lakes Issyk Kul and Son-Kul

This Law is directed to preserving and increase in inventories of especially valuable and endemic species of fish in the main fishery reservoirs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Article 1. Impose ban on production, transportation, acquisition, realization and export from the Kyrgyz Republic of especially valuable and endemic species of fish living in Lakes Issyk Kul and Son-Kul for a period of 5 years, including on the fish products developed from them and caviar, except as specified catch of fishes for the scientific purposes, reproduction of the fish inventories and fishes who are grown up by cage method.

Specially authorized state body of management of fishery provides implementation of measures for impact assessment of the established prohibition on preserving and increase in fish inventories by carrying out annual scientific, icthyological research and monitoring of condition of fish raw inventories in Lakes Issyk Kul and Son-Kul and carries out works on protection and reproduction of fish resources in the specified reservoirs during operation of the moratorium on production of especially valuable and endemic species of fish.
