Procedure for cross-border transportation of dangerous wastes

1. General provisions

1.1. This Procedure regulates import on the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic, export and transit transportation of dangerous wastes for the purpose of their use.

1.2. Import to the Azerbaijan Republic of dangerous wastes which safe conversion is impossible for the purpose of their transit transportation, burial and neutralization is prohibited.

1.3. Cross-border transportation of dangerous wastes is performed in accordance with the terms, stipulated by the legislation the Azerbaijan Republic and international treaties which it joined.

1.4. Export of dangerous wastes from the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic to the country which is not the member "The Basel Convention on the Control of Trans-boundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and their removal" is forbidden (further - the Basel convention) (except as specified agreement signatures between said country and the Azerbaijan Republic about cross-border transportation of dangerous wastes).
