About measures for improvement of work of the railroads of the State Parties of the Commonwealth

Having considered the report of Council for rail transport of the State Parties of the Commonwealth on measures for improvement of work of the railroads of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States solved:

1. To the Ministries of Economics, finance, to railway administrations with other interested state bodies of the State Parties of the Commonwealth to develop in the I quarter 1995 of the program of the state support of the railroads of the State Parties of the Commonwealth for content of their technical means in operating state, to use of the available repair base of railway vehicles completely to provide accomplishment of planned types of repair, and also on implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of technical retrofitting and updating of railway rolling stock of September 9, 1994 and to submit them for approval of the governments of the states.

To provide to council on rail transport of the State Parties of the Commonwealth necessary assistance in preparation of the specified programs.

2. To railway administrations, boundary and customs authorities of the State Parties of the Commonwealth till March 1, 1995 to correct the organization of border control and customs examination of passenger trains in the interstate message as much as possible to reduce time of the parking of trains on boundary transitions, including at the expense of the organization of joint examination in one Item or carrying out it during train service.

3. To the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the State Parties of the Commonwealth together with the interested state bodies to consider the course of accomplishment of the Decision of Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States on measures for safety of passengers, loads, railway vehicles and crews of train on the railroads of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of September 24, 1993 in a month and to take necessary measures for its realization in full.

To inform the Executive Secretariat of the CIS in the I quarter 1995 on the carried-out work.
