The government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which hereinafter are referred to as further as the Parties,

being guided by the aspiration to support optimum level of defense capability and safety of the countries,

considering expedient preserving bonds on cooperations which developed in case of development, production and delivery of the arms, military equipment, military property, components and spare parts necessary for defense and safety of the countries,

considering general arrangements within the Commonwealth of Independent States

agreed about the following:

Article 1

The parties will take measures for implementation of mutually beneficial bilateral military and technical cooperation in the way:

preserving and developments of cooperative bonds which developed in case of development and the arms production, military equipment, military property, components and spare parts that "the special property" hereinafter is referred to as further;

implementation of mutual deliveries of special property;

renderings of services of military and technical appointment that hereinafter is referred to as further "services".

For this purpose each of the Parties according to the national legal system will provide creation of necessary organizational, legal and other conditions for the conclusion between authorized business entities of contracts/agreements / in noted forms of military and technical cooperation.

Article 2

Research and development works for the benefit of defense and safety of the countries will be performed based on general development programs of the arms and military equipment approved by relevant organs of public administration. The parties will perform permanent mutual exchange of scientific and technical information concerning samples of arms and military equipment which are in joint development and operation and are brought in appropriate programs. Financing of the specified research and development works will be performed on contractual basis.
