The government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which hereinafter are referred to as further as the Parties,

being guided by desire to develop bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, aiming at the aspiration of the Parties to assist each other in development of commercial, commercial and other ties,

agreed about it:

Article 1

The parties according to the legislation existing in both countries and being guided by mutual interests, also their transportations by the territories of both states will take all necessary measures for assistance each other in the organization of freight transportation, development of regular railway, air and automobile communication, creation of the preferential mode of processing of straight lines and transit cargoes of the Parties in sea and river ports and railway border stations.

At the same time to vehicles of the Parties on mutual basis the mode at least favorable will be provided than to the appropriate national vehicles.

The cooperation in the field of rail, airborne and motor transportations will be regulated by the agreements regulating relations on these questions, signed in Tashkent on February 20, 1993.

Article 2

The parties agreed that the railroads of Ukraine will provide giving of railway vehicles under transportation to the Republic of Uzbekistan of loads which arrive to ports and transshipment points of Ukraine from other countries in the area of the intergovernmental credit, the humanitarian assistance, and also other foreign trade loads of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The railroads of the Republic of Uzbekistan will provide giving of railway vehicles and priority cargo service which happen from the Central Asian region, going to Ukraine, and also the loads following en route in or from the third countries.

Article 3

The free mode of transit by the territories of both states shall provide and guarantee the parties each other.
