intending to develop cooperation for the purpose of investigation, development and preserving marine living resources,
in view of general interest in preserving, reproduction, optimum use of live resources and management of them in the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Bay,
recognizing that marine living resources are limited and unregulated fishing without their unity and interrelations leads to irreversible effects,
noting importance of coordination of scientific research in the field of fishery for preserving, reproduction, optimum use of live resources and management of them in the Baltic Sea according to the Convention on fishery and preserving live resources in the Baltic Sea and Beltakh 1973,
pursuing the aim of single understanding of the principles of fishery, methods of research of trade inventories, expense optimizations on preserving marine living resources, managements of fishery and developments of the corresponding procedures to provide the good-neighbourhood cooperation between the Parties in the field of fishery which is of mutual interest
agreed as follows:
The parties will cooperate in the field of fishery policy and practical activities for the purpose of research, optimum use and preserving live resources of the World Ocean, including the Baltic Sea.
