agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will perform cooperation in the field of geodesy, cartography, the inventory and remote sensing of Earth according to the legislation of both countries, and also on the basis of the conventional principles and rules of international law.

Article 2

For the purposes of implementation and development of the cooperation provided by this agreement, the Parties are appointed as the parent organizations:

in the Russian Federation - the Federal Service of geodesy and cartography of Russia;

in the Azerbaijan Republic - the State committee of the Azerbaijan Republic on geodesy and cartography.

Article 3

For the purpose of development of specific proposals within this agreement of the Party will create the mixed working groups.

Nature and framework of specific target projects and types of joint activities will be subject of the free standing agreements signed between authorized bodies of the Parties.

Article 4

Authorized bodies of the Parties will make mutual exchange (transfer) of the land, cartographic, gravimetric materials and materials of space shootings relating to the territories of the Russian Federation and the Azerbaijan Republic which are available as of January 1, 1992. The procedure for exchange (transfer) is determined by free bilateral agreements between the relevant ministries and departments of the Russian Federation and the Azerbaijan Republic.
