1. General provisions

1.1. This Provision determines tasks, functions and the rights of the Commission on passenger economy (further - the Commission).

The commission performs the activities according to decisions of Council for rail transport of the State Parties of the Commonwealth (further - Council), this Provision, Rules of procedure of meetings of the commissions and meetings of experts of railway administrations of the State Parties of the Commonwealth, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia approved by the decision of the 18th meeting of Council, and the work plan of the Commission.

1.2. The commission is working body of Council, is formed by the decision 44 meetings of Council.

The commission will be formed and abolished by the decision of Council.

1.3. The commission works according to the plan and holds the meetings as required, but at least once a year.

The experts and specialists involved by railway administrations to consideration of single questions can take part in work of the Commission.

1.4. Members of the commission are appointed by the decision of the relevant railway administration from among heads of the railway administrations knowing complex of questions of the organization of passenger traffic in the international message.

1.5. The commission chairman heads the Commission.

1.6. The clerical work of the Commission is conducted by the secretary of the Commission.

1.7. Commission sessions are convoked by its chairman in coordination with Directorate of Council, carried out, as a rule, serially in the territory of railway administrations by their invitation.

Commission session is valid if at it there are at least 2/3 members of the commission.
