The purpose of this Law is health protection of children, in particular babies and children of younger age, by protection and promotion of breastfeeding of children, regulation of marketing of products and means for artificial nutrition of children.
This Law governs the relations between state bodies, local government bodies, legal entities and citizens in the field of protection and promotion of breastfeeding, and also distribution and promotion of products and means for artificial nutrition of children.
The legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of protection and promotion of breastfeeding of children consists of this Law, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic.
If international treaties and agreements of the Kyrgyz Republic establish other rules, than those which are provided by this Law then are applied rules of such contracts and agreements.
