The government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
for the purpose of enhancement and cooperation increase between both parties in development of oil and gas complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the terms of mutual advantage
agreed as follows:
The parties determined that the purpose of cooperation is investigation, arrangement and development of oil and gas fields, construction of facilities is social - cultural appointment and roads for the purpose of growth in volumes of production and oil supply, natural gas and products of their conversion to Ukraine and the third countries.
The parties will promote development of cooperation of the state organizations, creation of joint businesses, joint-stock companies, establishment of direct connections between the companies of Ukraine and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Ukrainian Side shall provide supply of equipment and the material resources made in the territory of Ukraine necessary for operation and development of oil and gas complex of Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed that the surplus of amounts of oil and gas extraction provided as a result of joint activities of the Uzbek and Ukrainian companies will be distributed according to equity of each of the Parties.
The Ukrainian Side provides the preferential mode of transit through the territory of products of oil and gas extraction on condition of accomplishment of provisions of Articles 1-4 of this agreement.
The Ukrainian Side performs by forces of the organizations research and design and exploration work on development of oil and gas complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
