About fight against tuberculosis in the Azerbaijan Republic

This Law establishes organization-legal bases of protection of the population against tuberculosis, the right and obligation of the patients with tuberculosis of persons.

Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1. Measures for fight against tuberculosis and principles of their implementation

Measures for fight against tuberculosis (sanitary and improving and anti-epidemic measures, inspection, diagnostics, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation) in the Azerbaijan Republic are performed according to the procedure, established by this Law and other corresponding regulatory legal acts.

Measures for fight against tuberculosis are carried out for all citizens and persons without citizenship who are constantly living in the Azerbaijan Republic is non-paid, on an equal basis, with respecting the rule of law, humanity, rights of man and citizen.

Inspection and treatment of the foreigners who asked for medical care in TB medical institutions in the Azerbaijan Republic are performed in the procedure established by the legislation.

Article 2. The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on fight about tuberculosis

The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on fight against tuberculosis consists of this Law, other regulatory legal acts and interstate agreements supported by the Azerbaijan Republic.

Other legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic cannot limit the rights of citizens provided by this Law in the field of fight against tuberculosis.

Article 3. Scope of the Law

This Law extends to the citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, foreigners who are constantly living in the Azerbaijan Republic persons without citizenship and on all legal entities irrespective of form of business.
