About immunoprevention of infectious diseases
This Law establishes legal and economic basis of the state policy performed in the field of immunoprevention of infectious diseases for the purpose of public health care of the Azerbaijan Republic and ensuring sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing.
The concepts used express the following values in this Law:
immunoprevention of infectious diseases (further - immunoprevention) - prevention, restriction of distribution or liquidation of infectious diseases by preventive inoculations;
preventive inoculations - introduction in human body of medical immunobiological supplies for creation of specific immunity against infectious diseases;
medical immunobiological supplies - the vaccines, immunoglobulins and other medicines applied for the purpose of prevention of development and spread of infectious diseases;
vaccine-challenged complications - violation of health in different degree as a result of preventive inoculations;
the certificate of preventive inoculations - the document of registration of preventive inoculations.
The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on immunoprevention consists of this Law, other regulatory legal acts and interstate agreements supported by the Azerbaijan Republic.
State policy in the field of immunoprevention is directed to restriction of distribution and prevention of infectious diseases.
In the field of immunoprevention treat the basic principles of state policy:
need of preventive inoculations for all citizens;
free carrying out preventive inoculations to the population in the public and local medical institutions;
