The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan which further are referred to as with the Parties

being guided by the Agreement on the allied interaction between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan oriented in the 21st century of April 16, 1999,

for the purpose of further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation on the basis of the principles of international law, equal partnership and mutual advantage,

considering need of increase in efficiency of the Russian-Tajik cooperation in economic, scientific and technical, humanitarian and other areas,

considering that wide and multidimensional relations of both Parties require permanent attention and enhancement of the mechanism of interaction,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties create the Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan (further hereinafter is referred to as - the Commission).

Article 2

The main objectives of the Commission are:

assistance to development trade and economic and sci-tech cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan;

the analysis of condition of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, determination of its most perspective directions and ways of enhancement of forms of interaction;

the organization of work on accomplishment of bilateral intergovernmental agreements and other arrangements, including the decisions made on commission sessions;

consideration of the questions connected with preparation of bilateral intergovernmental agreements, development and implementation of priority programs of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan and also development of agreed measures on their implementation;

coordination of activities of executive bodies of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan for implementation of the made decisions;
