About cession of property in municipal property
This Law establishes bases of creation of the municipal property forming economic basis of local self-government.
Transfer of lands to municipal property is performed according to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About the territories and lands of municipalities" and other regulatory legal acts.
The legislation on municipal property consists of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Civil code, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Sources of creation of municipal property are:
the state-owned property transferred to the possession of municipalities according to this Law and other regulatory legal acts;
the property acquired and created as a result of activities of municipalities;
the property transferred to municipalities by physical persons and legal entities, the international organizations and funds in the form of voluntary financial support;
the property bequeathed to municipalities;
the property received in other stipulated by the legislation cases.
The housing-and-municipal, social and cultural objects which are in state-owned property and the objects, necessary for implementation of powers of municipalities, which are in general use of the population and other state-owned property are transferred to their possession according to the procedure, established by this Law and other regulatory legal acts.
