About joint activities in fight against drug trafficking and additional measures for counteraction to the international drug trafficking

Committee of secretaries of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization,

proceeding from need of further building-up of collective efforts of state members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (further - the CSTO) in fight against drug trafficking, and creation of effective system of counteraction to narcothreat,

solved:

1. Take into consideration information of the Chairman of Coordination council of heads of competent authorities on counteraction to drug trafficking of state members of the CSTO, the Director of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation V. V. Cherkesov.

2. To competent authorities and offices of the Security Councils of state members of the CSTO to take measures for forming of system of interstate coordination of activities of specially authorized bodies, the Customs and border services, law-enforcement bodies and safety in the field of fight against drug trafficking, and also other types of crimes connected with drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and their precursors.

3. Recommend to Coordination council of heads of competent authorities to continue on counteraction to drug trafficking of the state members of the CSTO on regular basis carrying out the international counter-narcotics transactions allocated for fight against smuggling of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and also with other offenses in the field of their turnover.

4. Develop practice of participation in the above-stated transactions of observers from among representatives of competent authorities of other states which are not entering into the CSTO.
