being guided by the principles of safety of the Commonwealth of Independent States,

based on the Decision on the Memorandum of Council of heads of states of the Commonwealth of Independent States "The main directions of integration development of the Commonwealth of Independent States" and the Perspective plan of integration development of the Commonwealth of Independent States of October 21, 1994,

proceeding from need of combination of efforts on air defense of the State Parties and protection of their borders for airspace,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The State Parties create the integrated air defense system of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Air defense OS).

The integrated air defense system includes forces and means (part of forces and means) of air defense of the State Parties operating according to the approved Plan and the carrying-out tasks, stipulated in Article 2 this agreements.

The principles of creation and accomplishment of tasks of air defense OS are determined by the Regulations on the integrated air defense system of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are integral part of this agreement.

Article 2

The integrated air defense system is created for the solution of the following tasks:

ensuring protection of frontiers of the State Parties in airspace;

implementation of joint control of procedure for use of airspace of the State Parties;

the notification of the State Parties about aerospace situation, the warning of missile and air attack;

conducting coordinated actions of troops of air defense of the State Parties on reflection of aerospace attack.
