About the state land cadastre, monitoring of lands and land management
This Law determines the legal basis of streamlining of the state land cadastre, monitoring of lands and works on land management in the Azerbaijan Republic.

the state land cadastre - set of data on state registration of use of the earth, quantitative and high-quality accounting, appraisal of quality and economic evaluation of lands;
monitoring of lands - system of regular observation of condition of land fund for timely identification, assessment of changes in the separate indicators characterizing fertile properties of soils, prevention of negative processes and elimination of their effects;

The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on the state land cadastre, monitoring of lands and land management consists of this Law, the land legislation and other legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The relations on use of subsoil of the earth, the woods, the waters, natural resources arising in connection with maintaining land cadastre, monitoring of lands and works on land management are regulated by the corresponding legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic taking into account this Law.
In cases when the rules about land cadastre, monitoring of lands and land management determined in the interstate agreements supported by the Azerbaijan Republic differ from the rules provided by this Law rules of international treaties are applied.
