The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

aiming to promote accomplishment of provisions of the Final act of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the documents of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe accepted after the Meeting and concerning cooperation in the field of information and the humanitarian sphere, and also following recommendations of International union of telecommunication,

considering traditional interest of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan in programs of the Russian telebroadcasting organizations,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will develop cooperation on creation of favorable legal, organizational and economic conditions for ensuring broadcastings and distribution of programs of the Russian telebroadcasting organizations in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan for the purpose of satisfaction of cultural and information needs of citizens, further strengthening of traditional ties between the states of the Parties.

The parties agree with use of Russian in case of broadcast of programs of the Russian telebroadcasting organizations.

Article 2

The Russian side will promote unbiased interpretation by the Russian telebroadcasting organizations of problems, urgent for the Republic of Tajikistan.

Article 3

The Tajik Side will develop and will perform the necessary organizational and technical actions providing uninterrupted and high-quality program reception of the Russian telebroadcasting organizations in the territory of the country, their free transit through the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and relaying of programs of the Russian broadcasting organizations on the foreign countries performed on contractual basis.
