About hydrometeorological activities
This Law determines the legal basis of conducting observations, researches and works of active impact on atmospheric processes, developments, uses and protection of data by hydrometeorology and monitoring of the environment in the Azerbaijan Republic.
The concepts used in this Law have the following values:
hydrometeorological activities - the works and services connected with conducting observations, researches and works of active impact on atmospheric processes, collection, the analysis, development, storage, transfer and scientific and technical providing data on meteorology, aviameteorology, agricultural meteorology, hydrology, oceanology, climatology and monitoring of the environment;
national system on hydrometeorology - set of the companies, organizations and organizations operating in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic, conducting observations and researches developing data on hydrometeorology and monitoring of the environment and exercising the state control of hydrometeorological activities;
monitoring of the environment - system of the regular observations and researches determining chemical composition, extent of pollution, radioactivity, hydrobiological features, physical properties of the air, water, soil circle for the purpose of assessment and forecasting of condition of this environment.
network of observation - set of the centers, observatories, stations, the research ships, laboratories, gages, technical complexes and other observation posts on meteorology, aviameteorology, agricultural meteorology, hydrology, oceanology, climatology and monitoring of the environment;
the state fund of data of the Azerbaijan Republic for hydrometeorology and monitoring of the environment - collection of data of national state hydrometeorological system, international and space meteorological systems on meteorology, aviameteorology, agricultural meteorology, hydrology, oceanology, climatology and monitoring of the environment;
