About financial responsibility of the military personnel

1. This Law establishes conditions of financial responsibility of the military personnel and citizens called on training sessions for the damage caused by them on duty to property of military unit and also procedure and the amount of compensation of this damage.
2. Operation of this Law extends to military personnel of obligatory service and contract servicemen of Armed Forces and other troops of the Republic of Armenia, and also to the citizens called on training sessions.
The basic concepts used in this Law make the following sense:
1) military units - military unit, army connection, army consolidation, body of military management, military school in which in the procedure established by the law there passes the military service;
2) commanders (chiefs) are commanders (chiefs) of military units and structural divisions of military units, their deputies;
3) property of military unit (further - property) - the tangible assets which are considered as state-owned property and transferred to the order (ownership, use) of body which are expressed as arms, military equipment, ammunition, other fixed assets, inventories (substances, the fast-wearing-out objects), and also money and their equivalents;
4) the actual damage (further - damage) - loss or damage of property, and also expenses which the body made or shall make for recovery (acquisition) of the lost or damaged property;
5) the certificate about payment - the document on the payment paid to the serviceman in the month preceding day of detection of damage and also about monetary commitments of the serviceman.
