About the state protection of employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies

Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1. Purpose of the Law

For the purpose of ensuring the state protection of employees of the judicial and law enforcement agencies performing functions which can become the reason of attempt at their safety, and also implementation of justice and creation of necessary conditions for fight against crimes this Law determines system of measures of the state protection of life, health, the dwelling and property of specified persons or their close relatives.

Article 2. Legislation on providing employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies with the state protection

The legislation on providing employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies with the state protection consists of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, this Law and other legal acts of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Article 3. Providing employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies with the state protection

Providing employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies with the state protection, being connected with accomplishment of service duties by them, consists in application and implementation of security measures by competent state bodies for the purpose of protection of life and health, the dwelling, property of specified persons or their relatives.

Article 4. Persons protected by the state

Under protection of the state (further - protected persons) there are following persons:

1) judges of all courts;

2) prosecutors;

3) investigators;

4) persons conducting inquiry;

5) persons performing operational search activities;
