About medico-social protection of the citizens sick with diabetes
This Law regulates bases of medico-social protection of the citizens sick with diabetes in the Republic of Tajikistan, establishes legal and social and economic sales warranties of their constitutional rights and legitimate interests.
This Law governs the relations arising in connection with the organization and implementation of complex of the legal, medical, social, economic and organizational and technical measures guaranteed by the state providing realization of basic rights of the citizens sick with diabetes on protection of their health and establishes the purposes and the principles of state policy for the benefit of the specified category of citizens, obligations of the state on providing guarantees of their rights, the main directions and organizational bases of providing these rights.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
- diabetes - the chronic disease which is characterized by the increased blood glucose level owing to lack of insulin (pancreas hormone);
- diabetes of 1 type - disease in case of which the pancreas does not produce own insulin, owing to what daily repeated injections of insulin are required;
- diabetes 2 types - disease in case of which the pancreas produces insulin in insufficient quantity that results in need of acceptance of the tableted antihyperglycemic medicines or purposes of insulin therapy;
