Public service of Turkmenistan on fight against drugs (further hereinafter is referred to as - Service on fight against drugs) is the state body providing realization of state policy in the field of fight against drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors (further hereinafter are referred to as - drugs), observance and accomplishment of the international obligations of Turkmenistan concerning fight against drug trafficking.
1. The legal basis of activities of Service for fight against drugs the Constitution of Turkmenistan, this Law, the Law of Turkmenistan "About drugs, psychotropic substances, precursors and measures of counteraction to their illicit trafficking" constitute, other regulatory legal acts and the international agreements of Turkmenistan.
2. If the international treaty of Turkmenistan establishes other rules, than those which contain in this Law then are applied rules of the international treaty.
1. The structure of Service on fight against drugs includes central office, managements in welayats and the cities with the welayat rights, departments in etraps and the cities with the etrap rights, and also maneuverable posts at check-points of Frontier of Turkmenistan.
Maneuverable posts at check-points are created by Service on fight against drugs as required.
2. Management of Service on fight against drugs is performed by the chief appointed to position and dismissed by the President of Turkmenistan.
