realizing the purposes and tasks of Eurasian economic community,

having intention to create and support favorable conditions for investors of the states of the Parties performing investments in the territories of these states

recognizing that encouragement and mutual protection of investments on the basis of this agreement will promote development of integration processes, mutually advantageous trade and economic and to sci-tech cooperation of the states of the Parties,

aiming to promote economic growth of the states of the Parties,

agreed with following:

Article 1 Basic concepts

The concepts used in this agreement mean the following:

a) "investor" - in relation to the state of each of the Parties:

any physical person who is the citizen of the state of one Party, performing investments in the territory of the state of other Party according to the legislation of the last;

any legal entity founded (created) and registered in the territory of the state of one Party, performing investments in the territory of the state of other Party according to the legislation of the last;

b) "investments" - the material and non-material values put by the investor of the state of one Party in objects of business activity in the territory of the state of other Party according to the legislation of the last including:

money (money), securities, other property;

the rights to implementation of business activity granted on the basis of the legislation of the states of the Parties or under the agreement, including, in particular the rights to investigation, development, production and operation of natural resources;

the property and other rights having money value.
