recognizing that the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus have rich historical and cultural heritage;

that development of traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus shall be based on mutual knowledge and respect of their originality, history, culture and achievements what assumes studying and use of archive materials of the states of the Parties;

according to the Treaty of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus of January 17, 1996;

being guided by aspiration of development of the relations between archive organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties develop cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity according to the conventional principles and rules of international law, national legal systems of the states of the Parties in the field of archiving.

Article 2

The parties according to national legal systems of the states exchange regulatory legal acts, information and documents in the field of archiving, literature concerning archive science, archaeography and document science, and also the publications of archive documents which are of mutual interest.

Article 3

The parties perform experience exchange in the field of archiving and document science.
