Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1. Sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population and basis of its providing

1. Sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population is such condition of public health and the habitat of people in case of which there is no dangerous and adverse effect of its factors on human body and there are favorable conditions for its life activity.

2. Sanitary and epidemiologic wellbeing of the population of the Azerbaijan Republic is provided:

• implementation of the state, regional and local programs of strengthening of health, prevention of diseases of the population, improvement of the habitat and conditions of life activity of people;

• observance by state bodies and public associations, companies, organizations and organizations, irrespective of their subordination and pattern of ownership, officials and citizens as component of their activities of health regulations and regulations, hygienic standard rates;

• work on hygienic training and education of the population, directed to forming of healthy lifestyle, high sanitary culture;

• broad informing population on the state of health, hygienic and epidemiological situation, on preventive, sanitary and hygienic and anti-epidemic actions;

Article 2. Sanitary legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic and its main objectives
