in view of that international cooperation in the field of science and technologies will strengthen friendly relations and mutual understanding between the people of the states of both Parties and will increase the level of scientific and technological knowledge in both states,

considering cooperation in the field of science and technologies as important condition of development of national economies of the states of the Parties,

wishing to establish dynamic and efficient international cooperation between all complex of the scientific organizations and certain scientists of both states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will encourage cooperation in the field of science and technologies on the basis of equality and mutual advantage with observance of the international obligations of the Parties and according to their national legal system.

Article 2

The parties will encourage development of long-term cooperation in the field of science and technologies is direct between research and other organizations of their states.

Article 3

The parties will support and encourage development of cooperation in the field of basic and applied scientific research and advanced technologies.

Article 4

The parties proceeding from the priority directions of science of each of the states of the Parties will determine the directions of bilateral cooperation in the field of science and technologies.

Article 5

According to this agreement the cooperation between the Parties will be performed in the following forms:

exchange of information in the field of science and technologies;

carrying out joint scientific research;

exchange of scientists and researchers for carrying out joint scientific research;
