About amnesty in connection with the 74 anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic

1. Exempt from custodial sanction irrespective of the appointed term, and also the punishment which is not connected with imprisonment, convicts:

a) participating in protection of the homeland;

b) residents of the regions of Azerbaijan to whom there is fighting;

c) women;

d) 60 years are more senior than men;

e) disabled people of I and II groups;

e) minors;

g) the men having in the dependence (care) of minor children;

h) awarded with awards and medals of the former USSR.

2. Exempt from punishment of persons: convicts to corrective works without imprisonment, and also convicts for the first time to imprisonment for a period of up to five years inclusive for making crime on imprudence.

3. Reduce by two thirds unexpired part of punishment to the persons which are not listed in articles 1 and 2 of this Law, condemned for making of crimes on imprudence.

4. Cut by half unexpired part of punishment to persons condemned for making of intentional crimes, not the stipulated in Article 7-1 Criminal code of the Azerbaijan Republic as serious crimes.

5. Apply amnesty to the persons listed in articles 1 and 2 of this Law, condemned for plunder of the state-owned or public property in especially large sizes by assignment: irrespective of compensation of damage - when stealing property on the amount to 50 thousand rubles and completely indemnified loss - when stealing property on the amount more than 50 thousand rubles.

6. Stop production all investigative cases and cases which are not considered by courts concerning the crimes committed before entry into force of this Law by persons listed in article 1 of the Law.

7. Not apply operation of articles 1-5 of this Law to persons:

a) condemned for especially dangerous high treasons, and also for the crimes provided by Articles 70, 70-1 and 70-2 Criminal codes of the Azerbaijan Republic;

b) recognized as especially dangerous recidivists;
