The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as "Party"

based on the principles of equality and mutual respect;

confirming the inalienable right of property to rail transport;

considering it expedient to keep technological unity of railway system;

recognizing value of coordination and joint activities of rail transport of both states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Transportation of goods by the railroads of both states is performed on the basis of the international treaties in the field of rail transport signed within the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Article 2

Functional activities of rail transport of both states, and also production and content of railway vehicles, technical means and safety of loads are performed on the basis of international treaties which participants are both states.

Article 3

The parties agreed to observe the procedure of transportation of goods and passengers operating on rail transport according to international treaties in the field of rail transport which participants are both states.

Each of the Parties reserves the right to sign agreements in the field of rail transport with the third states, without infringing on fundamental interests of other Party.

Article 4

The parties recognized necessary to perform tariff policy within the decisions made by Council for rail transport of the State Parties of the Commonwealth taking into account national legal systems and economic interests of both states.

Article 5

Free acceptance and movement of the transit cargoes following by the railroads of both states for which transportation payment is made shall provide the parties.

For the operational solution of questions of transit transportations of the Party can open the representations in the territories of both states.
