Subject of legal regulation of this Law are the public relations in the field of providing and protection of the rights and freedoms of scientists and scientists connected with implementation of professional scientific activity by them, protection of copyright and related rights of scientists and scientists, and also the rights to the intellectual property items received by them in case of accomplishment of research and development. The law determines the status, the rights and obligations of scientists and scientists, the state guarantees of ensuring scientific activities and social protection of scientists and scientists.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
