for the purpose of ensuring protection of the state secrets used during foreign policy, military, economic, scientific and technical, prospecting, counterprospecting and other cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus and also the state secrets formed in the course of such cooperation

considering mutual interests of the Parties in ensuring protection of the state secrets of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the state secrets of the Republic of Belarus according to legislations of the Parties,

in view of the Agreement on mutual ensuring safety of the classified information within the Collective Security Treaty Organization of June 18, 2004,

agreed as follows:

Article 1. Determination of concepts

The concepts used in this agreement mean the following:

1) the classified information - the data constituting the state secrets of the Republic of Kazakhstan and (or) the state secrets of the Republic of Belarus expressed in any form, protected according to the legislation of each of the Parties, and also formed in the course of cooperation of the Parties which unauthorized distribution can cause damage to safety and interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan and (or) the Republic of Belarus;

2) protection of the classified information - acceptance according to legislations of the Parties and this agreement of legal, organizational, technical, cryptographic, program and other measures on non-admission of unauthorized distribution of the classified information;

3) carriers of the classified information - material objects, including physical fields in which the classified information finds the display in the form of symbols, images, signals, the technical solutions and processes allowing them to distinguish and to identify;

4) security classification - the detail which is put down on the carrier of the classified information and (or) specified in the accompanying documentation testimonial of degree of privacy of the data containing on the carrier;
